A little Fortune Cookie Message I Read Today.

I just HAD to share this folloing the live chat session on Law of Attraction and Manifestation.
I have no idea who to quote this from ... it was in my "virtual" fortune cookie lol but it is SO true!
I just had to share it with all of you:

"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."

Meditation Exercise 2 - Healing Meditation

This meditation is a great healing exercise.

I use this when I feel a cold or flu coming on or anytime I need to calm nerves, or fix bigger ailments I am seeing my doctor for.
My daughter and I also use this for pain control for her rehab from her surgeries.

When I do this exercise I like to use some essential oils in an oil burner. I use clary sage, menthol, eucalyptus, and myrtle.

You can use other combinations but I find these to aid in breathing and they have amazing healing properties.

As always sit or lay comfortably.

Breathing in through your nose and out through your month as best possible, if you have a cold this may be difficult, so do what feels best for you.

Clear your energy of negative thought and emotion and focus only on healing your mind, body and spirit.

Take a cleansing breath even if you are having a hard time breathing properly it is the intent that counts.

As you exhale visualize the virus, illness, etc leaving your body.

Next inhalation, visualize tiny sparkling lights entering your body to fight and kill the infection.

Localize these lights to the areas of your body that are affected by your illness.

Visualize with each inhalation these tiny sparkling lights entering into your bloodstream and eating up any sickness within you.

As you exhale you expel them, they are no longer white sparkling lights but dark shadowy and ashen.

They dissipate into the air into millions of tiny dead particles unable to come back and infect you nor can they infect others.

You can do this exercise as you fall asleep at night as it can also aid in a good nights sleep. If you plan to do this at night time instead of using an oil burner you can use a vaporizer, as it is a bit safer to leave on all night.

Continue to use this visualization meditation regularly as you work to rid your body of illness or pain. The more you use it the more you build up your system to fight infection.

I have used this technique for the last 20 years and I believe it is one of the reasons why I have not had any side effects from my
type 1 diabetes. It is one small part of a process I learned in the 80’s when I was studying bio-feedback at the Menninger Foundation.

Remember in any visualization, manifestation or focus it is important that you have intent. Being in a positive state of mind, staying focused on your goal and believing in the process are key.

With Love,

How to Choose a Psychic

A recent query from one of our faithful followers was:

"katestrong:  I’ve had a few psychic readings and they tell me something different? How do I know what to believe?"

This is a great question!

How to Choose a Psychic
My advice to anyone just starting out getting psychic readings or starting over looking for valid insight is to chose a few advisors you feel a pull to.

Read their profile very carefully. Many people fail to do this and only go by ratings or the photo of the expert. Take time to really “listen” to what they say in their profile. Get a feel for how they communicate. A well-written profile is a good indication of the type of service you will receive. Also lets face it, we all have different personalities, and we want an advisor who will really resonate with us. Someone who we can relate to, someone who we can feel we can really open up to. This is why it is wonderful to have sites like Liveperson where you can find experts of all ages, races, backgrounds, etc. There is a perfect advisor for everyone there. It is however our responsibly when we are on the client side to make sure we do our own homework in selecting an advisor. So really take the time to check out everything, their reviews, their profiles, and their personalities.

Are You an Empath?

Are you an Empath?
What does it mean to have empathy?
A huge thank you to KateS for her article suggestion!)

Are you an Empath
What makes one an Empath?
What is the difference between being an Empath and just being a really sensitive person?
Simply defined, empathy is the capability to share and understand another’s feelings and emotions. You are capable of putting yourself into another persons’ shoes.

To be Empathic takes this to another level. If you are empathic you actually feel the emotions and feelings of another person strongly.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one and feel badly for them, understand their emotional plight and can see how they are feeling on a logical level you are having feelings of empathy.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one and feel badly yourself for knowing this, have some of the same symptoms of mourning that they do, and feel the need to comfort them or help them through their emotional time you are more likely an Empath.

Empaths have a difficult time being in crowed places.

Have a very difficult time attending funerals.

Often times become overwhelmed or disoriented at large gatherings.

Watching anything sad or disturbing on the television is too difficult for you.

People discussing death, illness, any horrible situation makes you terribly uncomfortable.

You feel the physical ailments and pain of others.

You develop symptoms of illness when around others who are ill.

It is difficult for you to sit in the doctors office, the hospital or especially the emergency room.

Are you very aware when you are being lied to?

Do you always know what someone really meant to say but said something else instead?

Do you suddenly, out of nowhere have severe mood swings for no explicable or medical reason when in public?

Do you find that people are just naturally open with you and want to tell you all about themselves?

Do you feel that you can heal others emotionally or physically?
You find yourself being frustrated with others for having their own feelings and emotions.
These are common symptoms of being an empath.
I do hate calling them “symptoms” however. It is not a disease to be empathic. It can be very difficult to live ones live as an empathic though, especially if you are unaware of what is happening with yourself. Knowledge is power however and understanding what you feel and why you feel it is the first step in harnessing and working with your gifts.

Lets take a look at each “symptom” in depth:

1. Being in crowded places: This one is especially difficult because you can go into the mall or the store feeling a-okay but suddenly you feel an overwhelming sense of sadness, or anger or illness out of no where. You may feel your stomach cramping up, you face grows flush, your energy becomes very weak etc. I have known people who are empathic but not yet under control of their gifts who have walked right out of a store leaving a full cart of groceries behind because it was simply too much to take.

2. Going to a funeral is almost impossible. Even the idea of going is too much for you. Even if you were not close to the person who has passed, if you do go you end up weeping in an uncontrollable way the whole time, unless it is the kind of funeral where they are “celebrating life” and it is a bit more upbeat, but even then you are picking up on not just the one who has passed but all of the energy of every person in that room and everyone reacts differently to death. So the swirling vortex of emotion you are taking in is too intense to describe. Getting out seems to be your only recourse. Usually an emapth who does manage to make it through a funeral does not make it to the dinner after.

3. In a large crowd, such as a party, or sporting event you find yourself unable to maintain focus. Everything around you becomes foggy and you are feeling an overwhelming sense of urgency. You get light headed and dizzy from all of the energy from the people around you who are usually very excited and over working their own energy. This can result in you feeling dizzy, nauseous, nervous, and unable to enjoy the event.

4. You are sitting there watching a movie and you just feel the intense desire to shut it off. This can ruin a few family nights or dates! Being in tune with the energy of the situation, knowing that people really do experience such things even if those on the television are just actors. Your mind no longer is on the program but on the idea of what people have to struggle through in life, how difficult it is for some people to live happily, how someone else out there is hurting while you are cozy and watching a movie. There is guilt that comes up and you are no longer in the moment of your own enjoyable life.

5. When people discuss a car accident they witnessed, or an animal being run over, or a person dying, you immediately want to turn your ears off. You do not like hearing about such things because something in your mind triggers your whole body to cringe and you feel in your being this pain the animal or person has suffered. You are highly sensitive to pain and can feel it by hearing about it.

6. When you are around someone who is hurt or ill you can pick up on their symptoms and feel their pain and illness. If someone around you has a headache you may not feel an all out headache yourself but you will have tension around your head neck and shoulders or a feeling like a weight on your head. The extent to which you feel certain things can vary but you always seem to know who feels well and who does not when they are around you.

7. You may take on symptoms of others who are ill around you. Being around someone who has frequent allergy symptoms may cause you to develop a cough or watery eyes. You may have noticed at times looking at someone who is sneezing and has watery eyes from allergies makes you instantly break into a sneezing and watery eyes spell of your own. Once mastered an emphatic that has this specific skill can more easily develop their healing abilities.

8. Going to your own doctors appointment can be a real challenge. You may cancel appointments often and not even know why you just refuse to go! You have the time, you set your schedule to make your appointment, you got up early enough but there is just this feeling of dread about going. Emergency rooms and hospitals make you feel a pit in your stomach. The idea of these places simply does not sit right with you and you avoid them when possible.

9. You know exactly when someone is being honest with you or not. You do not always chose to call people out on their lies, and sometimes they are just little white lies but you just know that they are not being honest with you. Often you have to catch yourself from making a strange face at them or letting onto the fact you know they told a lie. Especially when the matter does not concern you or the lie is not being told to you. This can get us in trouble at work because perhaps it is a co-worker or boss who is doing the lying and there is simply no way for you to prove what you know, but none the less you do know they are lying.

10. Sometimes people get their words mixed up and are misunderstood. Do you often find you are the one having to clear the air between others and make someone understand “they didn’t mean it that way” and end up explaining how the other person really meant to come off? Do you find yourself being able to just “get” people without really knowing them, little or no information and being able to understand them better than their own friends and family that is yet another gift of the empathic person.

11. Sometimes when you are out and about running errands or just enjoying your day you are suddenly hit with the feeling of an emotion? You started out just fine and dandy, happy go lucky, singing along to the radio, you pull up to the red light and bam, you feel like someone just kicked you in the gut. These sudden emotions “out of no where” come from others near you even if not in the same room or car.

12. The people at the check out counters are always so friendly to you. They talk and talk and go on and on to the point you are thinking “OMG BAG MY GROCERIES ALREADY PLEASE!” okay maybe that’s just me lol but I’m impatient at the store. People just feel so at ease with you. They can bend your ear, tell you things they would never tell some of the people they know let alone a stranger. They even themselves think after you walk away, “wow why did I just tell that person all that stuff?”

13. Do you find that if you concentrate your efforts and energy you can ease people who are suffering or hurt? Have you experienced a time when you felt you had healed them in some way? Empthics are the best natural healers and can often times help heal those who are sick or in pain. With work and education you can develop this gift!

14. Do you often get upset or angry with someone you know and love for expressing their own feelings? This is a common but often misunderstood sign of being an empathy. Empaths are some of the nicest people you will meet but we all have our wall we hit especially when we do not have our gifts harnessed and under control. Especially the person who is just learning they are an emapth. They tend to lash out at those they love when it is the worst possible time to do so, when they need them to BE empathic! Empaths who do not have their gifts in check become especially overwhelmed when it is their own loved one who is hurting! They just can not deal with the intensity of the emotion and lash out in anger which is usually anger that is at themselves not the person who needs to lean on them for support. They become frustrated because between their loved one needing them to help and their own intense onslaught of emotion they are feeling both from their loved one and their own feelings of wanting to help they just implode then explode. This of course totally confuses their loved one and makes the empathy feel horrible.

So what do you do with all of this? If you feel you are an empathic the first step is to accept that you are going to have to deal with it and learn to get it under control. It is no different than balancing anything else in your life but now you have an added and important thing about yourself to keep balanced. I cannot stress enough how much meditation helps in this process but yes it takes time and energy and focus to do that and you have to keep at it. Its like a diet, it only works for you if you work with the program!

There are amazing books you can read on the subject. There are advisors who will help you through projects, lessons and live chat sessions to discuss what you are going through. You may be able to locate a local support group, if not start a meet-up group in your area. Meet Up Groups

Being able to identify when you are having an empathic flash and when your emotions are purely your own is a huge step to take. You have to learn to separate what you feel from what you are receiving from others. Once you learn to do some daily focus via meditation or grounding exercises, keep your own emotions in check versus what you are picking up off of others and knowing what our limits are you are on your way to being an empath that really can help others. Will you always then be perfect? Heck no, its just like keeping balance in your regular life you have to work at it.

See This Article here:
Finding Balance in a Topsy Turvey World

Do you have to use your abilities for the good of others?

Nope. You can keep your ability all to yourself but from my experience I have found that others and myself cannot help but use them for some purpose. Otherwise they just seem to sit there and fester. Of course not everyone is going to want your help or for you to reach out to them. You have to use good judgment on that unless you are also psychic.

However, you will have honed your skills to the level of being able to determine with your empathic abilities, if they are open to help or not by the time you are out there putting your skills into practice.

Scorpio in Love

Scorpio is a passionate sign. They love deeply and fully but they are not one to be messed with. If you are thinking of a casual relationship with a Scorpio you better be prepared to let them know right up front of your intentions! Scorpio can handle a casual affair as long as they do not think or feel your intentions are otherwise because if they should fall for you and your heart is not with them, they will be deeply wounded and will lash out with a viscous sting!

You absolutely must be on the up and up with a Scorpio mate, anything less than 100% honesty is too little and if you fail to give that honesty and are caught in a love triangle or a lie you better look out!

Scorpio is a very sexy and sexual sign, romance and encounters of passion are many, however Scorpio needs someone who is at his or her level when it comes to fun and games and often times love can be a game for them as much as a reality. There needs to be a balance of fun and excitement as well as heart and sincerity. They need someone who is open and willing to try new angles!

One of Scorpio’s most dangerous character traits is jealousy and they can become jilted easily. They need to know they are in fact the center of your focus, at least when it comes to the heart.

Scorpio likes to be in control or at least let to feel they are. Battles of will can ensue if you are not willing to be a bit crafty. Sometimes it helps to know a little chess, because there are ways to let a Scorpio think that what you want is really their idea and that is usually all they really need, to be allowed to feel they have the upper hand. It does not hurt to let them win a few matches as well. Chances are however you will have a hard time beating them at a “game” to begin with because Scorpio is quite strong and usually quite intelligent and crafty!

Scorpio as a general rule needs three components to make a love match: Sex, Love and Money. Sex being the most important! They are expressive, fun, sometimes silly and always passionate in bed. They like to try new things, so being sexually introverted is not what they want in a mate! If you are not willing to go to the limits when it comes to love making then it is better left to just ditch the Scorpio romance or learn to let go and try new things! I am sure that your Scorpio mate can teach you a thing or two and they will absolutely enjoy doing so! On that note, if you are already quite “experienced” and already know all their moves, be sure you don’t mention this! Allow them to think they are teaching you something because if they feel you to be as sexually experienced as they are then their ego kicks in and makes them wonder if they are the best lover you have had, if you have had too many sexual partners and that typical Scorpio jealous streak will come out!

Now I feel I have given Scorpio a bad wrap here, other than being AMAZING in bed, but there are other wonderful character traits to your Scorpio mate! Scorpio can be extremely loyal and tender, they are usually good communicators who appreciate a partner who can speak with them on many levels, not just about sex. They DO like challenge although I have pointed out that they like to WIN they also need a reason to feel a win as well, so they need someone who is their emotional and mental equal or perhaps even a tad bit above them so they can feel a sense of challenge. They do not like to win an easy match or they feel no pride in that. So if you like a little mental strategy feel free to test your Scorpio mate, just learn how your partner deals with coming close to a lose because you will need to learn when to pull back just enough so that the Scorpio pride can stay in tact.

Scorpio needs a partner who accepts them for who they are because they work hard to be the best they can be. They do not like to be judged and need someone with an open mind and heart who is willing to learn with them.
If you have found yourself in love with a Scorpio and you feel you are up to the muster, then know that you will have a devoted and very caring life partner!

Maintaining Balance in a Topsy Turvy World

It is a common misconception that to live a balanced life we have to continuously maintain balance. Oh my, if that were the case I would totally fail the balance sector of my life! LOL

Balance is not something we have or do not have. It is something we strive for and constantly readjust our energy in order to maintain on an on going basis.

We have to set boundaries, we have to re-adjust, we have to keep tipping the scale back to keep our equilibrium.

We all know someone who seems to have it all together, and we wonder “how do they manage to stay so balanced while keeping so many balls up in the air?” Don’t be fooled! It is not any easier for them to do this than it would be for you, but they have figured out a few key points along the way to make the best of their own busy and complex life!

There are two main properties to living a balanced life. On one side we have the emotional and on the other we have the logical. Emotional deals with wants and desires, where logical deals with responsibility and duty.
We have to place the right items on the right side to start. Yes some of these things will cross sector such as family, family can be equally emotional because we want to spend quality time with our family but at the same time we have duty and responsibility, getting the kids to school, doctors appointments etc. This is where a nice handy diagram comes in to play.
Draw a simple diagram of a scale large enough to take notes on. A poster board will be handy for this and use some colorful sharpies just to make it a bit more fun!
One one side label Emotional and the other of course Logic.
Begin to draft your scale. Write down what you need on your logic side, work, family, bills, housework etc. And on your emotional side list what you need, free time, exercise, family time, friends, etc. It’s your list there is no right or wrong!
Now when items cross sector make some extra notes on this. If your cross sectoring item is family be sure you note in what ways your family is a emotional balance and in what way they are a logical balance. This will come in handy when we are trying to stay on track!
Sometimes we can easily become distracted or confused about how to get balance when we are being hit from all directions. It is hard to have boundaries when we are not even sure of our own scale and what is tipping it! By looking at your own hand made diagram you can easily reflect on where your boundaries are being crossed and when you are ignoring your own boundaries you set for yourself!
Some of us are really good at the logical boundaries and we know exactly what comes first while others of us are better at the emotional side of things but either can become a hazard if we are not careful. For instance some people can easily get distracted by a friend in need, putting aside our own needs and missing important deadlines or allowing for someone to take too much of us emotionally without giving back. While others of us put so much demand on ourselves to earn a nice living that we get off balance on the emotional side and do not give enough time to ourselves for spiritual growth, family time or relaxation. Neither is better or worse than the other side – what is best is a nice balance and with our chart we can always get back to our center!
Boundaries are a key element to a healthy balanced life! Setting boundaries for ourselves and for others is not being selfish nor being self involved. It is necessary in order to maintain our equilibrium! We can not allow for others to literally push us off balance we must be firm but kind when we are being push too hard or too far. By setting boundaries we can always know we are being fair.
When we allow for someone to push us in our balance of logic we tend to become reclusive and withdrawn and our focus is taken away from our work and thus our income and our lifestyles which can hurt our families and make us struggle too hard to be able to then find our emotional balance, when we lose our emotional balance we can become drained and even bitter or resentful.
It is one thing to want to help a friend in need but when they are pushing us too far we no longer have empathy for them and pull away from them. Some of us just tend to go this way more than others and our balance is almost too empathic or too kind for our own good. Some of us immerse ourselves in work trying to give our families a better life or earn enough to retire earlier or make enough for that long awaited vacation but in the mean time we lose connections we need to be happy as well. We lose our path and ourselves.
Using your chart you can always look at it and consider where you have been pushed as well as where you let yourself go, where you failed with your own boundaries and where you have been placing too much of your time and energy.
As you use the chart more and more you will notice it is becoming a part of you, a second nature, and you will no longer need this visual. When this time comes you will also notice that balance is becoming easier and easier to maintain!

Is it Set in Stone?

I asked my followers to direct message me on twitter their suggestions for blog articles. Tweeter katestrong suggested the following: “i want to read on your blog, is if you see something in our future, is it set in stone?”

The short answer is no.

Set in StonePsychic Readings are a guide to the possible outcome based on our current path. When we change our path we change our future.  Free will is stronger or at least has the ability to be stronger than any prediction. When we exercise our free will we have the full capacity to reinvent our future outcomes.

If you get a reading on your career and are told that your job is in jeopardy you need to look at your current path, trends and behaviors. Some readers will be able to give you specific detail on what areas you need to work on to keep your employment, some may not offer such insights. Regardless the message is “if you continue to stay on this path you are now on, you risk losing your job” therefore taking a good hard look at your work ethic, circumstances around your workplace, etc will help you be able to focus more clearly on your career and determine what changes need be made so you can keep your job.

A psychic should never say “you WILL lose your job” the educated and ethical reader will say “if you continue with your current behaviors your job is at risk” from there it is your choice, free will, that will determine your actual outcome.

Nothing is ever set in stone. If that were the case life would be pretty much pointless as the whole point of living is to be given opportunity to fail and succeed, lean and grow, change and evolve. Every choice we are given leads us on a new journey of discovery. No choice is ever right or wrong for all we discover along every path is what makes us who we are. We are given these wonderful challenges in order to develop not just our current life path but our future life paths as well.

Putting out, Getting Back

No this blog post is not about sex lol
Putting Out Getting Back
This post is about charting your energy / time.
Time is energy. What we put out into the universe is what we get back but that does not mean we can sit around focused on worry or what we lack and expect that the universe is going to reward us for this.
For the purpose of this exercise, think about yourself for a moment. Consider what you spend your energy on in any given day, week, or month. Ask yourself where you are putting your thoughts, your actions, your time, your energy and your focus.
